Telkomsel Welcomes Telkom Group - Antix Labs Mutual Cooperation In New Cross-Device Game Platform Service

Jakarta, 7 June 2012

Telkomsel as part of Telkom Group welcomes a new cross-device game platform cooperation between the parent company Telkom Group and Antix Labs, an innovative game technology company from the United Kingdom.

Gideon Edie Purnomo, VP Channel Management Telkomsel said, “Telkomsel is raising the bar for games services in Indonesia through increasing network capacity. By deploying the Antix Game Player, we are ensuring that consumers can share and play high-caliber games both when in close proximity with their friends and when communicating via the best network in Indonesia.”

Telkom Group and Antix Labs have solidified plans to launch its new cross-device game platform using the Antix Game Player across both its Telkomsel (GSM) and Flexi (CDMA) networks as it deploys a new generation of games services across the country. Telkom Group has the exclusive Indonesian operator rights to use the Antix Game Player and first deployments will begin in June2012.

As part of the program, SpeedUp (MLW Telecom, business partner of both Telkom Group and Antix) is preloading the Antix Game Player and a selection of games on a variety of devices utilizing its Studio9 service. Studio9 is a one-stop-shop for contents and applications integrated on to SpeedUp Broadband and initial products cover both mini-set top boxes and tablets. Rahmad Widjaja Sakti, Director of Product & Marketing of MLW Telecom says, “We see the kind of innovation and differentiation delivered by the Antix Game Player as relevant and important for today's multi-device lifestyle and the future of the gaming business. We endorse Antix’s view that consumers ‘Love to Share’ and we are delighted to be collaborating with Telkom Group to bring this vision to life in Indonesia across screens both in the home and on the move.”

All of these features work seamlessly between phones, tablets, PCs, TVs and other connected devices despite their otherwise incompatible software platforms.

Francis Charig, Chief Executive of Antix Labs commented, “Indonesia has one of the world’s most dynamic economies and we’re excited to be involved with Telkom, the largest telecommunications services company in the country with more than 100 million subscribers.
